Bronwyn
High Energy | Smallholdings & Horses
Bronwyn is a Marine Biology Master’s student residing on a smallholding with horses. She brings a calm, capable presence holding a deep appreciation for the companionship of animals. In her spare time, she enjoys running, scuba diving, spearfishing and sailing.
I’m a Master’s student in Marine Biology, which allows for remote work and a flexible schedule. I was raised, and currently live, on a smallholding, so I’m experienced with a variety of animals and comfortable with their daily care. Right now, we share our home with two Great Danes, a Husky, a Border Collie, a few cats, two horses, fish, a Bearded Dragon and chickens. I’m confident in managing their routines as I often care for them while my parents are away.
In my free time, I enjoy running, diving and sailing – weekends tend to be a mix of all three! Animals have always been a central part of my life, and I genuinely love spending time in their company – whether it’s taking a high-energy dog like our Collie out for a long run or just being present in their space.
Having travelled myself and left my own pets in the care of others, as well as from my experience in caring for neighbouring smallholdings, I know how important it is for pets to feel comfortable while their owners are away. I always treat pets with the same love and care I give my own.

Clarise
Chronic Medication Administration | Exotic Pets & Plants
Clarise works full-time in educational content creation and brings a thoughtful approach. She balances her professional life with a love of literature, languages and the outdoors.
I work as a full-time content curator in the education field, managing projects and creating engaging resources. My weekdays are dedicated to this role from 07:30 to 16:30, while my weekends are generally free.
At home, I live with three cats and a dog, and I’ve been trusted for several years to care for the homes and pets of families in Port Elizabeth whenever they travel. My responsibilities often include feeding and caring for animals, tending to plants, and ensuring homes remain secure and well-kept.
Beyond work, I enjoy reading classical literature, exploring languages such as Spanish and Chinese, and spending time outdoors with my partner, family and friends. Whether it’s walking along the beach or hiking, I find joy in being in nature.
I’m comfortable with a wide variety of pets, including timid breeds, and I have experience supporting animals with chronic conditions such as joint and digestive issues. I’ve also developed an interest in reptiles and would be happy to assist with certain snakes.

Daniel
High Energy | Chronic Medication Administration
Daniel is studying a double-major in Programming and Applied Mathematics. He brings a precise, methodical approach to care. Raised with a variety of animals – including a goose with an injured leg – he understands the value of patience and attention to detail.
Growing up with a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to chickens, snakes and fish, I developed an interest for their unique care needs. Personally owning, and in caring for others’ pets requiring age and breed specific attention has given me hands-on experience. This experience has shaped my approach to looking after pets, ensuring their well-being, comfort and routines are maintained in their owners’ absence.
Alongside my passion for animals, I have a strong interest in horticulture and enjoy maintaining gardens and indoor plants. Attention to detail and a methodical approach help me keep spaces well cared for. I value clear communication and following instructions to ensure everything runs smoothly.
With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (double major in Programming and Applied Mathematics), I balance my work in IT as an Assistant at StreamGroup with my love for nature and animals. Trust and reliability are important to me, whether caring for pets, maintaining gardens or supporting technology needs.

Dylan works at a wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary and trains hawks for ethical bird control. His hands-on experience with animals and calm focus make him a dependable Custodian. On weekends, he enjoys baking and experimenting with new cooking recipes.
My lifestyle is full of energy, from hiking to enjoying active sports such as Ultimate Frisbee. I love taking animals on walks, runs and hikes, ensuring they stay active and engaged. When I’m not outdoors, I’m in the kitchen, experimenting with new baking recipes and perfecting my cooking. Passionate about wildlife conservation, I work at a wildlife rehabilitation and education sanctuary. Certified as a Motor Mechanic, I also have a secondary passion that serves as both an interest and a fallback skill.

I particularly enjoy working with more challenging animals, building trust and meaningful connections with them.

Daniel

Dylan
High Energy | Timid Individuals | Chronic Medication Administration | Exotic Pets & Plants | Smallholdings & Horses
At the sanctuary, I focus on the well-being of the animals, spending time with them and creating activities that provide enrichment. I prepare diet-specific meals for a wide range of species, including bat-eared foxes, meerkats, caracals, monkeys, birds of prey, parrots, snakes, lizards and tortoises. I particularly enjoy working with more challenging animals, building trust and meaningful connections with them.
Through the sanctuary, I collaborate with Falcon Crest Group Bird Control, where I fly trained hawks to ethically manage pigeon and Egyptian goose populations. This gives me the chance to form strong bonds with birds of prey, while also providing an environmentally responsible solution for invasive bird control, protecting both local ecosystems and indigenous wildlife.

Hanna
Hanna-Lin is a Psychology and English student with an active love for the outdoors and a deep affection for animals. She brings energy, reliability and compassion to her role.
I’m currently in my second year of university, studying Psychology and English. My schedule varies day to day, but I remain flexible and committed to making time to include animals. Looking ahead, I hope to travel and eventually pursue a career in forensic or clinical psychology.
I’ve always been passionate about nature and animals, and I love staying active — whether it’s hiking, walking or running. In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, watching films and spending time with friends. I also share movie nights and documentary marathons with my mom, which is one of my favourite ways to relax.
At home, I care for my little dog, Chealsy — a Pug-Jack Russell mix — along with our two cats, Salem and Izzie. I’ve had plenty of experience raising and caring for pets from their puppy and kitten stages into adulthood.
Alongside pet care, I’m confident in maintaining homes, keeping spaces tidy and organised, and I can manage low-maintenance plants. I’m comfortable with affectionate and energetic pets and have experience administering oral medication when needed. My goal is always to make sure animals feel well looked after in their familiar space.

Growing up on a farm bordering Kruger National Park, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness. With a pet zebra and countless other animals, my childhood was an adventure of its own. Weekend explorations on the farm fuelled my curiosity and love for discovery, which led me to study Tourism Management.
My career has taken me across Africa, where I spent seven years managing five-star lodges in Botswana. After returning to South Africa, I fulfilled my dream of working on a wine farm in Franschhoek before settling in Port Elizabeth, where I now run a thriving indigenous nursery.
At home, I’m grounded and enriched by my fiancé and our two beloved dogs, Kriekie, our playful Yorkie, and Nova, our affectionate Rottweiler. They consistently remind me to appreciate life’s simplest moments, filling our days with laughter and love.
Throughout my journey, I’ve learned the importance of resilience and adaptability, and I approach each new challenge with enthusiasm and determination.

My family and I regularly take our dogs for walks in the Baakens, keeping them engaged and active. I’ve cared for my own pets with Speciality care requirements such as epilepsy and diabetes, so I understand the importance of their comfort and well-being.
As a homebody, I enjoy reading, cooking, video games, and meditation, but I also love spontaneous road trips. Having lived independently in a Cape Town apartment with many indoor plants, I know what it takes to keep a home and its plants in great shape.

I am a born and bred P.E. girl! As an active outdoor lover, I enjoy hiking and beach walks. I don’t currently have pets of my own, as I live in a flat where pets are unfortunately not permitted. I have had many pets throughout my life, mostly dogs and cats but also fish, hamsters, rats, cockatiels, rabbits and even a ball python at one stage (although this was actually my daughter’s pet, but I did feed and take care of it when she went away). As a single mom of two studying girls, I bring reliability, motherly nurture and focused attention to every home and pet.
My flexible schedule allows me to provide prompt, dependable service whenever needed. My personal, hands-on experience ensures your pets receive knowledgeable, attentive care.

Bronwyn

FOUNDER’S LETTER
As a child, my weekends and holidays were filled with adventures in nature. My sisters and I would queue for salami rolls while our Border and Rough Collies raced on secluded beaches. Later, we loved playing in the Keurbooms River with our Golden Retriever paddling alongside. However, it was the humblest of creatures that sparked my fascination with blending nature and pet husbandry…
